Ferd Piccuirro is a singer / songwriter from central New Jersey, near the Delaware River bordering Bucks County, PA. Ferd has been writing songs and performing for many years, delighting audiences with his warm voice, beautiful songs, and the energy he brings to his performances. His music can best be described as folk rock, with heartfelt, insightful lyrics flowing over strong melodies.

Ferd began his musical journey in the early seventies playing electric lead guitar in a rock band. While in college, his interest turned more towards acoustic music. Ferd began writing songs and performing them in coffeehouses in south Jersey. He then met up with other like-minded musical friends, and along with his brother Mick, formed a folk rock band called Orion. Orion performed original songs written by Ferd and other band members, as well as cover songs, and the band consistently received enthusiastic responses from audiences.

Working full time in the telecommunications and information systems industries and raising three children took center stage for a number of years, but Ferd continued to write songs and perform. Attendance at songwriters' workshops beginning in 2001 renewed his passion for songwriting and performing. Since then, Ferd has performed his music at various venues in New Jersey (including local TV and Radio spots), and in New York, Pennsylvania, and the lakes region of New Hampshire which inspired his title song "Rain on the Lake".

Ferd champions the belief that there are happy endings, silver linings, and always hope in this world. He is a balladeer who sings love songs, stories, fantasies... and ballads. Ferd's songs take you away for awhile and gently bring you back with a peaceful feeling and a smile on your face. Take a listen and enjoy.
